So, back in April, I made a bday cake for my husband. Chocolate w/ cream cheese icing. I decided I'd goo out and try to even decorate it and what not... LOTS learned from this experience, not the least of which is NOT to embark on a significant baking project at 10p... Also got some nifty ideas on how better to ice a layer cake and now understand why real cake people use a turntable. I don't see getting one of those any time soon, so I'll just have to come up with a better non-turntable way to function... It was terribly yummy so all in all a success. But there's certainly room for improvement...
